Limor Baum MS RDN CEDRD
Limor is a nutrition therapist specializing in eating disorders, weight management, IBS, and women’s health. She works with individuals and families to help restore healthy behaviors around food, body image, and fitness. Limor's nutrition counseling is designed to maximize wellness by combining an understanding of biochemistry and nutritional science with human behavior theories and traditional healing modalities. She uses whole foods, herbs and spices to treat clients based on their unique physical and mental composition, medical history, and lifestyle.
Limor’s unique approach to counseling is influenced by motivational interviewing, CBT, Maudsley approach, and mindfulness. She regularly speaks about balanced living and eating disorders in schools, wellness centers and social gathering.
In her past work she served as the primary nutritionist in an eating disorder treatment center where she co-developed the nutrition program manual and touched many lives. She continues to be deeply involved in the treatment and prevention of eating disorders by promoting intuitive eating and an all-encompassing food plan. Limor is a regular nutrition contributor to Red Book magazine and her advice and knowledge have been published in multiple media outlets such as Fitness, Prevention, expertbeacon.com, Fox Business, and NY Runner Magazine.

A fascination with nature and harmonious living has driven Limor to immerse herself in the exploration of alternative views of medicine, particularly Ayurveda and yoga. In her free-spirited years, she has spent considerable time traveling the globe and learning about these profound practices and the body-mind connection. As her roots now continue to deepen in NYC, Limor expands on her vast knowledge by attending scientific conferences and learning about mindfulness and meditation. When she is not talking nutrition, you can find Limor enjoying the streets and culture of NYC, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.
Few things have the potential to so powerfully change our physical, mental and emotional states as the food we eat. Limor is an advocate of the non-diet approach where all food groups are part of a diet and counting calories is not a daily activity. She believes that attaining a healthy weight, eating a balanced diet, and avoiding many ailments are within arm’s reach for anyone with patience, reliable information, and compassion. Limor treats every new client as a blank canvas. No judgments. No pre-perceived notions. By carefully listening and fully understanding clients' special needs, she crafts individualized nutrition and fitness plans and continues to motivate, educate, coach, and share her love for food and nutrition.
